Angela Elizabeth Pacey

PACEY, Angela E., age 85 of Centerville, passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Angela graduated from Fairview High School in 1944 and earned her RN from Good Samaritan School of Nursing. She went on to serve her country as a nurse in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Angela then followed her calling and entered the Sisters of Charity convent at Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati where she continued her work at various hospitals. When she left the convent Angela traveled throughout Spain, England and lived in Australia before returning to the states where she worked as a nurse anesthetist in the maternity ward of St. Elizabeth and Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton where she retired from in 1985. Following her retirement Angela worked as a bookkeeper for Dorothy Lane Market. Angela was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Kettering. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank M. Pacey Sr. and Vera J. Mayne; brother, Frank Pacey Jr.; sister, Vera T. Pacey and step-father, Calvin Mayne. Angela is survived by her sisters, Charline (Rev. Everett) Chambers, of Delavan, WI and Mary (Wesley) Hieb of Centerville, OH; brother, Norman C. (Terry) Mayne of Centerville, OH; nephews, Matthew Hieb, Calvin Mayne, Tim Chambers and Michael Mayne; nieces, Mary Foltman, Eileen Tobias, Kathy Mager, Marcia Walker, Nanette Hieb, Tracie Mayne, Angela Morton, Chimene Ross, and Jeannie Andrews; and many great nephews and great nieces. Private services will be held on April 26, 2011 with family only. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to St. Albert the Great Church, 3033 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, OH 45429 or Bethany Lutheran Village, 6451 Far Hills Ave., Centerville, OH 45459.
