Ann Marie Bavaro

BAVARO, Ann Marie, age 87, of Kettering, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. Ann was born on January 30, 1931, to the late Dominic and Teresa (nee Torello) Cassano, in Hamilton, OH.

She attended Notre Dame High School, and went on to move to Kettering after marrying the love of her life Joseph Bavaro. She always put her family first, and was the most loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother in the world (not to mention the best Italian cook as well). She was a devoted follower of Christ, and was a longtime member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church.

She is preceded in death by her siblings Sam and Ralph Cassano. Ann is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Joseph Bavaro; children, Joe (Susan) Bavaro, Roseann Mock, and Teresa (Doug) Bierlein; grandchildren, Joey (Karly) and Annie (Dan Ferraro) Bavaro, Jackie (Nick) Malatesta, Gina Mock, Nicole and Natalie Bierlein; great-grandchildren, Joey and Maggie Bavaro; siblings Mike and Jack Cassano; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A visitation will be held from 2-4pm pm on Sunday, February 3, at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering 45429. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30am on Monday, February 4, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo, 4500 Ackerman Blvd, Kettering, 45429. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for the compassionate care that they gave Mom.
