Arlene E. Galloway

Galloway, Arlene Elizabeth (nee Spriggs) age 85, of Centerville passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2009 at Bethany Village. Arlene was born on November 6, 1923 to the late Frank and Margaret Spriggs. She was a graduate of Wilbur Wright High School in 1941. Arlene worked for the Board of Missions of the Evangelical United Brethren Church from 1962-1968 and for The Association of Theological Schools from 1968-1991. She continued to work for the Association part-time until 2004. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Robert D. Galloway in 2005 and their son, John Galloway in 1966. She is survived by her daughter, Jenny (Tom) Mikos; grandchildren, Ross (Suzanne) Mikos, Katy (Greg) Young and Alex Mikos; great-grandson, Thomas Scot Young; nephews, David and Robert Spriggs; and niece Betty Spriggs Lamb. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Routsong Funeral Home, 81 N. Main St., Centerville from 5-6:00 PM with a memorial service starting at 6:00 PM and a reception following. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the loving care of dear friends, especially Mary Bomberry.
