Artie M. Vahldiek

VAHLDIEK, Artie M., age 81, of Riverside passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at her home. Artie was a life long member of Spinning Rd. Baptist Church. She graduated from Cumberland College and Eastern Kentucky University and was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She retired after 30 years of service from Wright Patterson Air Force Base in 1986 as a mathematician, where she also met her husband Fred in 1957. Artie was preceded in death by her brother William Hap Wells and sister Lela Holmes. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Fred W. Vahldiek; son, Fred R. Vahldiek of Kettering; daughterin-law Kim and their son Sean; 3 sisters, Aileen(Jack) Florence, Corean Wells, Barbara Helen Webb; brother-in-law, Jack Holmes; sister-in-law, Jenneke "Jenny" Wells and numerous nieces and nephews.
