Austin Frank Andrasik

November 24, 1990 — September 14, 2019

The beautiful brown eyed boy, with the warm, always-ready smile, and the even more beautiful soul. That is the Austin Andrasik we all knew, and the Austin Andrasik we will always remember in our minds and our hearts.

Austin passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019. Too young, too soon, leaving too many broken hearts.

Austin was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 24, 1990, the first born son of John Andrasik and Shelly (Fetters) Andrasik. Austin’s brother, Lucas, soon followed, and the family of four was complete. The love and powerful loyalty the four felt for one another was immediately evident to all who received the gift of being close to them, and their kindhearted, fun-loving first born often led the way.

Austin grew up in West Chester, Ohio, and from a young age he was a shining star – an outstanding pupil, and a standout athlete in football, baseball, and wrestling (with that natural talent gifted from his father). He was also an extraordinary friend. He is remembered for always helping those who needed it most, assisting classmates with special needs, encouraging teammates, and embracing his role as a natural leader. Always described with words like passion, energy, and excitement, his friends remember him as “the spark that put the energy in the air, that made things go…that kept our world revolving.”

Above all else, Austin loved his family. He loved beach trips, golfing with his dad and brother, and Sundays spent with the four of them cheering on their beloved Pittsburg Steelers. He loved dancing and talking with his mom, and always, always smiling and laughing. He loved his parents like he loved life – fully and intensely, and the bond he shared with his brother, Luke, was something to behold. Truly a yin and yang relationship, they were different in many ways, but together they were an extraordinary force – supporting one another, loving one another, and protecting one another with a fierceness that few get to experience.

A creative spirit with a spiritual depth, Austin wrote, sketched, and drew throughout his life in a way that captured all of the beauty and tenderness of his soul. That beauty and tenderness touched so many, and he will be so very missed. His aunts will miss his sensitivity and innate kindness; his nana will miss his openness and their long talks over breakfasts; and his cousins will miss his special sense of humor and their endless laughs with their revered cousin. All will miss their many happy times at the beach.

Austin was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Pearl Andrasik, his maternal grandfather, Roger Fetters, and his still-so-missed Aunt, Amanda Fetters Helmbright. He is with them now, at peace, watching over us all. He is survived by his father and mother, John Jay Andrasik and Shelly Fetters Andrasik; his heart broken brother, Lucas Garrian Andrasik; his loving nana, Faye Fetters; and the numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, far away and close to home, all of whom he adored.
