Betty J. Menk

MENK, Betty Jane, age 89, of Centerville, OH, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. Betty was born to the late Howard B. and F. Elizabeth (Tuthill) Adams on January 11, 1927 in Chillicothe, OH. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1945 and worked at the Rike Kumler Company in sales and as a receptionist at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Betty was member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority Hithergreen Center and Normandy United Methodist Church and enjoyed cross word puzzles, knitting and volunteered at the Christian Hospital in Rochester, MI for 7 years and at Sycamore Hospital in Miamisburg, OH for 12 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Melvin A. Menk; nephew, Mark Stahl. Betty is survived by her children, Cheryl Lynn (Walter Floyd) Dyer of Sugarcreek, OH and David Scott Menk of Milford, OH; grandchild, Amanda; great-grandchildren, Dakota and Jayden; sister, Susan P. (Ralph) Stahl pf Centerville, OH; brother, James (Linda Adams of Centerville, OH; nieces, Judy (James) Bierly of Centerville, OH and Cindy (Dennis) Meyung of Aurora, IN; and nephew, Michael Stahl of Kettering, OH. Family will greet friends from 12:00pm-1:00pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering, OH. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home beginning at 1:00pm. Entombment will be at David's Mausoleum.
