SMITH, Betty J., 84, of Dayton passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at Maple Knoll Village in Cincinnati. Betty was a former member of the Faith Lutheran Church and was the first lady and co-founder of the Patterson Park East Kettering Little League (Smith Field.) She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Smith; granddaughter, Jill; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Betty is survived by her daughter, Carol Anne Powers; sons, Brion Lee Smith and Tim J. and wife (Kimberly) Smith; sister, Phillis and husband (Virgil) Porter; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, May 17, 2008 at Woodland Cemetery. Arrangements by Routsong Funeral Home. If desired, contributions may be sent to Patterson Park East Kettering Little League c/o of (Smith Field).
