Beverly Ann Keen

KEEN, Beverly Ann "nee Smith", age 79, of Riverside, formerly of Anaheim, CA passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. She was born on June 9, 1933 in Anaheim, CA to the late Walter and Ruby Smith. Beverly was a member of Sweet Arts Cake Club, International Cake Exploration Societe, FOP Ladies Auxiliary, and the D.A.R. She attended First Brethren Church and Victory Baptist Church. Beverly was generous, giving, and above all a beautiful soul. She loved arts and crafts and making magnificent cakes for weddings, birthdays and other special occasions. She instructed cake decorating classes and worked at Dayton PD ABV unit for 13 years. Beverly is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert R. Keen; brothers, Samuel and Gerald Smith; and sisters, Joyce Kobernik and Patricia Smith. She is survived by her children, Brenda (Bryan) Bain, Kristina Mann, Rev. William (Teresa) Keen, Charmaine (Daniel Jr.) Wilson, and Julia (John "Bob") Robinson; grandchildren, Tiffany, David, Michael (Morgan), Candice, Steven (Katherine), Robert, Samuel (Amanda), Melissa and Cassandra (Joshua); great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Joseph, Addison and Nattalie; sisters, Joan Bradley and Nancy Northwick; beloved friend and caretaker, Shirley Cook; dog, Maggie; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. Family will greet friends two hours before the service at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 1020 Beaver Valley Road, Beavercreek, OH 45434.
