Brian W. Douglass

DOUGLASS, Brian W., age 65, of Kettering, passed away on January 1, 2020. Brian was born on September 27, 1954 in Lackawanna, NY, but soon moved to the Dayton area with his parents, the late James and Mary Janet (Lowe) Douglass. He graduated from Fairmont West high school, class of 1973. Brian went on to work with the Dayton Progress company for over 20 years. Brian was a member of Solar Lodge #730, Silver Trowel Council #141, Mt. Mariah Chapter #320, and Antioch Shrine Club of Dayton. He had many passions throughout life including cooking, fishing, and sports, including the Reds, Ohio State, and Jeff Gordon racing. Above all he loved spending time with his family. Brian never knew a stranger and his witty jokes made many people happy throughout his life; he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents; birth-Mother Eileen Abbey; and Step- Mother Efsevia Douglass.

He is survived by his son, Joel (Stephanie) and their children Pierce, Alexandra, and Kensington; daughters, Kristen (Brian) Kruse, their children Gibson, Josephine, and Paige, and Stacy Langdon, her children Brayden and Addison; and Granddaughter Harlie Michael. Brian is also survived by his siblings, John (Kathy) Johnson, Jill Johnson, Eileen (Ron) Haynes, Kathleen (Marty) Rathbun, and John (Lisa) Abbey; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 7, from 3-7pm, at Routsong Funeral, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, 45429, with Masonic Services to follow. A service will be held the following day at 10am also at the funeral home. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
