Charles Jones

JONES, Charles "Eddie", age 86, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2008 in Dayton. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; Harold & Edna (Steineman) Jones. Eddie is survived by his wife, Shirley, of 57 years, two daughters and sons-in-law; Sonnie (Glenn) Woodworth of Tipp City, OH, Cindy "CJ" (LaVon "JR") Ferguson of Brookville, OH, two sons and daughter-in-law; Rick (Connie) Jones of Westerville, OH and Garry Jones of Ridgefield, CT, nine grandchildren; Stephen (Sandra), Caroline (David), Chad, Brandon, Lyndsey (Jason), Craig (Leanne), Cassie, Gregory, and Leah, four great-grandchildren; Brooke, Jennifer, Samantha and James, one sister; Florence Scheper of Kettering, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Eddie was a Precision Tool Grinder for General Motors Delco Moraine Division for 37 years, retiring in 1981. Eddie and Shirley also have a winter residence at Southwinds in Sarasota, FL and he is leaving many, many friends in both areas. A celebration of his life will be held 1 PM on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, OH where the family will receive friends from 11 AM until time of service.
