Charlotte L. Groby

GROBY, Charlotte L., age 74, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Thursday January 5, 2017. Born in Dayton, OH on January 15, 1942 to the late Willard and Elsa (Andrew) Groby. Charlotte graduated from Fairmont West High School and attended The Ohio State University. Charlotte devoted her life working for her family's business, Groby's Garden Center until she retired to help care for her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, home decorating and generally making her surroundings more beautiful. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter Emily Rose and son Robert "Rob". Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Robin (Scott) Oldfield of Dayton, Ohio and their daughters Grace and Gabrielle; son George Andrew (Daisy) Martin of Fairhope, Alabama and their daughter Geneva; brother Leigh Groby; along with many nieces, great-nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the amazing and caring staff of Bethany Village, especially Blossom and Courtyard Parks' caregivers for their love and attention given to Charlotte. The family will receive friends 11am-1pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Services at 1 pm, also at the funeral home. Burial at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Rd., Kettering.
