Dr. M. V. ''Bill'' Lingle

age 92, of Oakwood, Ohio and a summer resident of Clear Lake, Indiana, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001. Graduated from Ohio State University School of Medicine in 1936. He stayed in the Biltmore Hotel where he was the house physician for the hotel and the YMCA until he began private practice in 1939 in the Fidelity Bldg., where he specialized in Pediatrics and OB/GYN and remained with his practice until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the American Medical Association, Montgomery County Medical Society, the 50-Year Club of the Medical Society, Planned Parenthood of the Greater Miami Valley, The American Association of Family Practice Physicians and a long time member of The Lutheran Church of our Savior. He served on the selective service board during W.W.II and was recognized for 50 yrs. of service at Miami Valley Hospital and St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Dr. Lingle was also a member of Edon Lodge F&AM, Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine, and the Shriners Medical Unit. Preceded in death by his parents, William and Christena Lingle. Survived by wife of 52 years, Dorothy (nee Dickerson); 2 daughters, Yvonne ''Vonnie'' Wiltsee and husband, James; Karen France and her husband, Jim; a son, Philip Lingle and his wife, Lilli; brother, Willis P. Lingle; 3 grandchildren, Sherry Bain and Garret and Logan Lingle; and great grandson, Bric Bain; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A private family burial in Glen Haven Cemetery will precede a public memorial service to be held on Monday, November 26th at Noon at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior, Oakwood, Pastor Gary Eichhorn officiating. Friends may call at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday; Scottish Rite services will be held in the funeral home on Sunday.
