Ethel Henry James

JAMES (Kiefaber), Ethel Henry, age 83, of Oakwood, OH passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 in Hilliard, OH. Ethel was born in Dayton, Oh to parents, Robert and Elizabeth Henry. She graduated from Oakwood High School and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Miami University. Ethel was a social butterfly who loved to spend time with her friends and her family. She was an avid swimmer and painter in her free time. Ethel had a generous heart and was an active member of PEO. She was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dayton for many years. In addition to her parents, Ethel is preceded in death by her husband, Harry K. James and brother, John Henry. She leaves behind to celebrate and cherish her memory, children; Harry (Beth) Kiefaber, Clay Kiefaber, and Elizabeth (Bruce) Reger; brother, Frank (Sonja) Henry; grandchildren, Jamie, Molly, Libby, Zachary, Grant, Madison, and Samuel; the Oakwood High School Class of 1948; and many other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff and residents at Glenmont Christian Science Nursing Facility for all their love, compassion, and support during this difficult time. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in a Celebration of Ethel's life to take place on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 2:00pm at NCR Country Club (4435 Dogwood Road Kettering, OH) with a reception to follow. Ethel will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ethel's memory to Glenmont Christian Science Nursing Facility, 4599 Avery Road, Hillard, OH 43026.
