RICHARDS, Harry C., age 97 of Kettering passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Harry graduated from Purdue University in 1932, later attending The Harvard Business School. He was the President of Transmission, Inc. that he co-owned with his brother Bob Richards. Harry was a member of Dayton Rotary Club for 55 years, Engineer Club, Fur, Fin and Feather Club, Spring Run Fishing Club, Dayton Country Club, Diamond Lake Yacht Club in Michigan and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for nearly 50 years. He served during WWII, as commanding officer of the 303rd Field Artillery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Cleia Richards; first wife, Louise Richards in 1969; second wife, Elizabeth Harbottle in 1985 and brother, Jack Richards in 1994. Harry is survived by his daughters, Lynne Richards-Garner of Kettering, OH, Gail Denise of Cincinnati, OH and Jill (Mark) Bridges of Tampa, FL; brother, Robert (Angela) Richards of Dayton; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew. A memorial service will be held, followed by a reception at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 33 W. Dixon Ave., Oakwood on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at 2:00 pm. with Pastor Jack Koepke officiating. Arrangements made by Routsong Funeral Home.
