Heather Marie Welch

WELCH, Heather Marie (Emmons), age 35, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. Heather was born July 9, 1984 in Dayton, Ohio. She attended Belmont High School and was proudly the first member of her family to graduate, in 2002. Heather continued her education in her spare time at Sinclair Community College to become a paramedic and graduated from the program in 2012. She transported patients as an EMT for MedCorp INC. and later with MED-TRANS for Hospice of Dayton.

A lover of the arts Heather enjoyed puzzles, painting ceramics, and was never too old for coloring. Christmas was her favorite holiday, as she was always so generous and thoughtful. Forever an incredible hostess and excellent cook, she loved to give to your heart as well as your stomach. Whatever she was doing there had to be music and dancing, even if it was on the volleyball court.

Preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and James O. Emmons; mother-in-law, Cynthia Sprauer-Moore; grandfather, Frank (Bud) Sprauer; adopted father; Marc Stump, and her beloved fur baby, Fargo. Survived by her partner of 12 years, Ben Sprauer; brother, James Emmons; sister, Abby Oburn; brother, Alex Oburn; grandmother, Jenny Sprauer; adopted mother, Jean Stump; numerous nieces and nephews and an unlimited number of friends.
As Heather did not wish to be mourned there will only be a celebration of life instead of traditional memorial services. Due to the current crisis this event will be scheduled for a later date when many friends and family can come together safely. A very special thanks to the staff of the ICU at Kettering Medical Center and also to Hospice of Dayton who provided gracious care to one of their own.
