Helen Davies Carpenter

CARPENTER, Helen Irene Davies, passed away on May 24, 2016 in Dayton, OH. Born to Margaret Mary (Jenkins) and David Collins Davies of Oil City, PA on August 13, 1926, Helen is survived by sons Timothy, William, David and Joel, their wives, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert Riley, preceded her in death. Helen, a superb homemaker, seamstress, baker and singer, was for many years alto soloist at the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City and a faithful member of Lakeview U. Methodist Church in Sandy Lake, PA before moving to Florida. In her various positions with Mercer County State Bank she was known for her warm personality, her accuracy and her compassion for people. Memorial service for Helen will be held at Townville (PA) Baptist Church on August 13 at 10:30 am.
