Irma Huchison

March 22, 1909 — May 29, 2008

HUCHISON, Irma (formerly Baker), 99, of Kettering died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Irma was a graduate of Miami University and taught in the Dayton and Kettering schools for 33 years. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, the Dayton Women's Club and was an avid bridge player. Irma is survived by her husband of nearly 15 years, James P. Huchison; son, William (Dixie) Baker of Centerville, grandchildren; Colleen (Steve) Jacobs and Rick (Rebecca) Baker; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 step-son, Richard (Diane) Huchison; stepdaughters, Alverda (Gene) Klippel, Judy Hopf and Elizabeth Phillips; 10 step-grandchildren and 9 step great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 AM at Fairhaven Church Chapel, 637 E. Whipp Rd., Centerville with Pastor Ted Zabel officiating. Irma's family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM also at the church. A private burial will be held at Woodland Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 3229 Burnet Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45229-3095 or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
