James C. Heikes

HEIKES, James C., age 40, of Kettering, passed away Monday, January 24, 2011. Jim played football for Fairmont High School where he earned offensive lineman of the year graduating in 1989. He then went on to Wittenberg College, class of 1994 where he again played football. Jim coached soccer and Jr. High wrestling teams and loved the game of golf as well as fishing. He had charismatic personality which was enjoyed by his beloved family and many friends. Jim attended St. Albert Catholic Church and had been a member at Walnut Grove, NCR and Browns Run County Clubs. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years Pam Heikes; son Hunter Heikes; parents Kevin and Irene Heikes; mother& father-in-law Carlo & Sheila Odella; his sister Paula & brother-in-law Rick Brust and there children Amanda & Zachary; sister-in-law Joanna Odella; brother-in-law Phil (Janet) Odella; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday, January 28, 2011 from 5:00-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 29 at 10:00AM also at the funeral home. Deacon Jeff Paul will be officiating. Interment will be in David's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Hunter Heikes Custodial Fund c/o Edward Jones Investment, 70 W. Franklin St., Centerville, OH 45458.
