James Calvin Routsong

ROUTSONG, James Calvin, age 75, of Miamisburg passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013. Jay was born on August 14, 1937 in Oakwood, to the late Robert Routsong and Margaret Pyper. He was a 1954 graduate of Oakwood High School as the class president. Jay served our country in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of the family business, Pyper Construction Co. in Centerville. Jay was a loving, giving and positive man who always had a smile on his face. He was a loving papaw who adored his grandchildren; was a loyal, loving husband and wonderful father. He enjoyed watching OSU football and UD basketball games amongst other sports. Jay had a great love for his race horse "Megan's Bluff" and was actively involved in the thoroughbred community. He was an active supporter of youth programs in Centerville and member of the United Church of Christ where he was on the board of directors. Jay was also, on the board of directors at David's Cemetery. He is preceded in death by his son Scott Routsong. Jay is survived by his wife of over 50 year's; Carole Routsong, Daughter; Lynne Routsong-Wiechers, grandchildren; Megan and Drew Wiechers. A special thank you would like to be given to the Brant Family, Marianne and Perry Bailey, Elaine and Bob Schawhan and many other dear family and friends. A memorial service will held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at David's chapel 4600 Mad River Rd. Kettering, OH 45429.
