SWORD, Jean E., age 91, of Dayton, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2016. She was born on August 28, 1925 in Parkersburg, WV to Ralph and Jessie Drummond.
Jean graduated from Xenia High School and the University of Dayton. She retired in 1978 from Logistic Command at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband, James Sword. She is survived by her brothers, Caroll L. Drummond and his wife of Texas and Neil E. Drummond and his wife of Lewisburg, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will greet friends from 9:00-10:00am with a service at 10:00am on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SICSA, 2600 Wilmington Pike, Dayton, OH 45419.
