Jean Spencer Bullard

age 77 of Dayton, died Tuesday, May 29, 2001 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born in Springfield, Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Champaign where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta. Jean married Roger Bullard in 1949 in Springfield. They first lived in Chicago, Oak Park, and then St. Charles, Illinois where they were members of Dunham Woods Riding Club and the Baker Memorial United Methodist Church. In 1965 they moved to New Cannan, Connecticut where Jean was a member of the Nutmeg Curling Club, Darien Country Club, Silver Hill Auxiliary, Panhellenic Association, The Lake Club, the Medallion Rottweiler Club and the United Methodist Church of New Cannan. In 1971 they returned to St. Charles then moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1992. Preceded in death by her husband, Roger in December of 1992 she moved to Dayton from Sarasota, FL in July of 2000. Survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Russell Bastedo of Dublin, NH and Stacey and Rodney Yarger of Dayton; and five grandchildren, Spencer and Kip Bastedo and Stephanie, Hallie and Heidi Yarger. Private services at the request of the family with Rev. William Walthour officiating. Burial in the family plot in Springfield, Illinois. Jean loved a good mystery novel, Rottweilers and wild flowers. She will be missed by her family and many friends as well as her Waterford House neighbors. A memorial fund as been established in memory of Jean at Cox Arboretum and Gardens MetroPark, 6733 Springboro Pike, Dayton, Ohio 45449.
