Joanne W. Conley

CONLEY, Joanne W., age 86 of Kettering, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. Joanne was born on April 20,1934 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late John & Esther Brown Welden.

She is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Betty Beatty and Wesley Welden.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, John D. Conley; two daughters, Linda (Jeff) Seitter of Kettering and Pam Conley of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Mark (Lily) Seitter and Kim (Mark) Cridge; and one great-grandson, Daniel Seitter.

She was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School in 1952 and received a degree in education from Muskingum College in 1956.

Before starting a family, she taught high school home-economics in Euclid & Springfield, Ohio. She then taught Pre-Kindergarten for 18 years at Christ United Methodist Church, where she also was a faithful member.

Joanne was an avid University of Dayton basketball fan and has attended almost every home game with her husband for over fifty years. She also loved travelling to NYC to see Broadway shows and spending time vacationing with her family in Florida.

Joanne was a loving wife & dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured her family, always putting them first. She will be solely missed by her family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at David Cemetery Community Mausoleum Chapel for immediate family.
