Joyce A Key

KEY, Joyce A., age 78, of Kettering passed away at home on Sunday, December 16, 2012 with her family by her side. Joyce was born on March 8, 1934 in West Union, OH to the late Robert and Ethel Elliot. She was a 1952 graduate of Jefferson High School and worked as a food service secretary for the Hara Arena. Joyce liked to volunteer for the Lathrem Senior Center. She was very outgoing and loved to tell jokes and make people smile. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Elliot; and sister, Erma Jean Ross. Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jim, daughters, Jennifer Swisher of Celina, OH, and Jeanna (Joe) Bocko of Bellbrook, OH, grandchildren, Angela, Shelby and Alec, great-grandchild, Noah. The family would like to thank Cindy and Gem City Home Care and all Joyce's nieces and nephews for their care and compassion. A memorial service will be held at 5:00pm on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering with Rev. Jacqueline King officiating. Family will greet friends following the service until 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, 1661 Nicholas Rd., Dayton OH 45417.
