Katherine Louise Marchiando

MARCHIANDO, Katherine L, age 74, of Centerville, OH, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on July 31, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN, and raised in Los Angeles, CA where she graduated from University High School. She was the only child of Ronald and Helena Bridges.

Katherine was married to Michael Marchiando for 52 years. She is survived by her son, Michael (Lesa) and daughter, Melanie (Nicholas) Vissoc. Together her children have 6 fantastic grandchildren who thoroughly adored their grandmother.

Katherine was employed at the Centerville High School when she retired in 2008 with 18 years of service. She truly enjoyed her years at the High School where she was known for her passion in helping students find their way. Kathy loved animals, had a green thumb when it came to gardening flowers, enjoyed traveling throughout the country, and cruising to warmer climates. She was very skilled in the culinary arts which always showed up at the dinner table. Kathy was a member of Incarnation Church of Centerville. She assisted many charitable organizations over the years in fund raising. Kathy was always there to help someone. She will be missed deeply, but her legacy will last forever.

Family will greet friends from 6-8PM on Monday, March 2 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 10am the following day at the funeral home. She will be entombed at David cemetery in Kettering.
