Kenneth F. Monschke

MONSCHKE, Kenneth F., age 82 of Kettering died Friday, February 8, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Born in Batavia, Iowa, he moved to Washington State where he attended high school, and went on to Linfield College near Portland, Oregon. He served his country during WWII by working for the War Department in Fairbanks, Alaska. After the war, he relocated to Seattle when he met his wife of 53 years to be, Dell. They moved to Dayton where Ken joined his brother, Wallace, in the fledgling Parkmoor Restaurant business. The business thrived, and later he became President of the National Restaurant Service Association. He also become involved with the Historical Society and was quite active in the Deeds Barn project. And along the way, he helped his wife raise 3 daughters. He was a devoted family man, a well-respected member of the community, and we will miss his strength and his heart. He is survived by his wife Dell Monschke; 2 daughters, Vicky Sutton of Waynesville and Melissa Monschke and partner Debbie Bresher of Huber Heights; granddaughter, Bridget Sutton of Oakwood and many relatives and friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hulda Monschke, one daughter Patrice Monschke, brother and sister-in-law Wallace and Virginia Monschke and nephew Douglas Monschke. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 12 at 3:00 P.M. in the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Rev. Darlene Hensley officiating.
