Lawrence Raymond Warner

WARNER, Lawrence Raymond, age 89, of Kettering, formerly of Palmetto, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. After graduating from Patterson Co-op High School, Lawrence joined the United States Army and served during WWII. He then went to work for NCR in their quality control department for 37 years until his retirement in 1978. Lawrence was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Kettering and Terra Ceia United Methodist in Palmetto, FL. He also belonged to Dayton Victory Chapter-OES, Alpha Lodge F&AM, AASR Valley of Dayton, and SAHIB Antioch Shrine of Tampa, FL. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth Shields and Goldie Sponaugle. Lawrence in survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Betty; children, Larry A. (Sue) Warner of Kettering, OH and Nicki Warner of Centerville, OH; grandchildren, Todd (Jennifer) Warner, Matt (Angie) Woolf, Tracy (Andy) Loper and Melanie (Josh) Singleton; 5 great-grandchild; sister, Dorothy Feeser; and brother, Marlin Warner. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Christ United Methodist Church, 3440 Shroyer Rd., Kettering. Family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
