Loretta J. Bowers

BOWERS, Loretta J. “Rae”, age 81 of Dayton passed away on Monday, December 18, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton. Rae was a lifelong member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church. She was inducted into the Dayton Softball Hall of Fame. Rae was preceded in death by her parents, Edward “Tom” and Rose Blommel; loving husband, Jack Bowers; 3 brothers, Dick, Fred and Jack. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Lou) Szabo of Georgetown, SC and Cheryl (Joe) Hoying of Dayton; sons, Jack (Becky) Bowers of Waynesville and Rick (Julie) Bowers of Bellbrook; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Dresher of Dayton and Rody Sierschula of Dayton; brothers, Ed Blommel of Florida and Bob Blommel of Beavercreek and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi, 6245 Wilmington Pike, Kettering with Fr. Tom Schmidt officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 9PM on Thursday, Dec. 21st at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering, Ohio.
