Magdalene "Maggie" Tisinger

TISINGER, Magdalene (nee Chakiris), age 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

Magdalene was born in Dayton, Ohio on September 28, 1926 to the late George and Luluda (Sarites). She attended Kiser High School, and for several years following graduation, she was employed at WPAFB Naval Division as a secretary. She later devoted her life to caring for her family. Magdalene was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and the GAPA organization. She was a talented seamstress and cook, and in retirement, she enjoyed ballroom dancing as well.

Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, William H. Tisinger; brothers, Demetrius Chakiris and Peter Chakiris; sisters, Jane Carras, Evanthia Ferguson and Helen Dimitroula. She is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Tisinger of Dayton; son, Louis (Anna) Tinsinger of Winfield, Illinois; grandchildren, Erik Tisinger, Julianna Tisinger, and Jack Tisinger; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family will greet friends on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 10 to 11 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 500 Belmonte Park N., Dayton, OH 45405. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11 at the church, with Father Joseph Gingrich officiating.

Burial at Woodland Cemetery to follow the service.
