Margaret Lena Diem

DIEM, Margaret Lena, age 91, of Centerville, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. Margaret was born in Chicago, IL. Upon her marriage to Karl Diem she moved to Minneapolis, MN in 1946. While there, she worked for Bridgeman's Ice Cream where she would treat her family to ice cream using the tips she made as a hostess. Margaret was a life long member of the New Apostolic Church where she served as a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, and Organist. Margaret loved children and children loved her. She is preceded in death by her husband Karl Diem; and sister, Helen Kelso. Margaret is survived by son Carl (Theresia) Diem of Springboro and their children Marlene Diem, Elizabeth (Christopher) Kies and Erwin Diem; son William Diem of Phoenix, AZ and his children Rick (Kerri) Diem, Sandy (Gerald) Cantesano; 10 great-grandchildren Steven and Lauren Taylor, Orrin Kies, Zachary, Michael, Kayla and Lindsey Diem, and Ariana, Nicholas and Bianca Cantesano; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2010 from 5:00-8:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17 at 7:00PM at New Apostolic Church, 696 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek OH, 45434.
