Marianne Becker

BECKER, Marianne, age 78, of Kettering passed away, Thursday, November 9, 2006 at home. Born July 6, 1928 in Appleton, WI, Marianne graduated from Shorewood HS, Milwaukee, WI and from Stephens College, Columbia, MO in 1948. Marianne married Thomas E. Becker of the John A. Becker Co. in 1950 and raised a family with him in Dayton, OH. Marianne was a lifetime member of the Dayton Woman’s Club, Dayton Country Club and volunteered at Miami Valley Hospital for 14 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale M. and Gladys (Clifton) Schuppener, and loving brother, Dale C. Schuppener. Marianne is survived by her husband of 56 happy years, Thomas E. Becker; daughters, Catherine (Dan) Carter of Scottsdale, AZ, and Dianne Becker of Cincinnati, OH; sons, Thomas J. (Ann) Becker, of Dayton, OH and James R. (Paula) Becker of Columbus, OH and will be dearly missed by her nine grandchildren: Richard D. Walker, Carrie C. Walker, Erin R. Harbaugh, John D. Harbaugh, Lindsay M. Becker, Clark A. Becker, Alissa A. Becker, Kaela J. Becker and Taylor A. Becker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Gerald Haemmerle officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday, from 9:30-10:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marianne’s memory may be made to the Miami Valley Hospital Foundation, 21 Wyoming St., Dayton, OH 45409.
