Marlene Meyer

MEYER, Marlene Kay, age 85, of Centerville, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022. Marlene was born on November 10, 1936 in Troy, OH. Marlene was a lifetime resident of the Dayton area. She had several careers during her lifetime but enjoyed her job most at Wright Patterson AFB. After a successful career of 35 years at Wright Patt, she retired in 2011 as an Information Security Specialist. She was a long-time member of the Church of the Incarnation in Centerville.

After retirement, Marlene and her husband, Eugene, loved to spend time with family and friends. She enjoyed collecting antiques, researching companies and investing in the stock market.

Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lillian Bollinger, and her husband of over 64 years, Eugene. She is survived by her children William (Kathie Peterka) Meyer, Lisa (James) Markham, Christopher (Crystal) Meyer; grandchildren Michelle (Scott) Lippert, Jordan (Mackenzie) Meyer, Brian (Elisabeth Jones) Markham, Alex (Christine) Meyer, Jeremy (Hillary Lovell) MacNealy, Shanna Justice, Malia (Jordan) Whipps, Olivia Meyer; nine great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 – 1:00 pm on Friday, January 28th at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Rd Kettering OH 45429.The family requests that guests wear a mask. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held following visitation at 1:30 pm, at the Church of the Incarnation, 55 Williamsburg Lane, Centerville, OH. Interment, Calvary Cemetery, Dayton, OH, following Mass. In memory of Marlene, donations may be made to the National M.S.
