Martha Doris Golson

GOLSON, Martha Higgins, 91, recently of Centerville, Ohio, and life-long resident of Mulga, Alabama, died on March 6, 2018. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Frances and Tom Bankston; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as by her long-time Alabama friends and her new friends at Bethany Village. She is preceded in death by her husband L.P. Golson, parents Vera and Marion Higgins, and brothers Jack and Buddy Higgins. Martha attended the Alabama School for the Blind and was a faithful and active member of the Village Falls United Methodist Church, Mulga, AL. A special thanks to the angels of Marthas dining table at Bethany who, in her days there, so lovingly helped and watched over her. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Village Falls United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 146, Mulga, AL 35118. Funeral arrangements will be with Crestview Funeral Home, 5250 Veterans Memorial Dr. (Hwy 78), Adamsville, AL 35005. A visitation from 10:00-11:00 am will precede a Service of Remembrance of her life at 11:00 am on Friday, March 9, 2018, at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Village Falls Cemetery, Mulga, AL.
