Mary Christ Lindamood

LINDAMOOD, Mary Christ, age 89, of Kettering, OH went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Donald Lindamood. Mary is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (David) Youngerman of Kettering, OH and Christie (Seth) Taylor of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Matthew (Cassi) Youngerman of Kettering, Mark (Lindsey) Youngerman of Loveland, OH and Spencer Taylor of Houston, TX. In addition to her husband, Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Vasilka and George Tyke Christ, who were born in northern Greece, brother, Blodgie (Catherine) Christ and sister, Sylvia Christ. Mary graduated from Roosevelt High School where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the Grail Literary Society (Miss Evangeline Lindsley). She was a secretary at Wright Patterson during WWII, a secretary at IBM, and an Administrative Assistant at Kettering Foundation for 20 years. She was a member of Fairmont Presbyterian Church since 1960, a member of Women of Fairmont, a Sunday school and bible school teacher and a girl Scout and Brownie leader. Her husband was a WWII Vet, and the two of them organized many reunions of his B17-94th Bomb Group members. They always attended the Bomb Group's reunions in the States, as well as several reunions at Don's air base in England. Mary was an active supporter of Don's membership with Dayton Masons. Mary was proud of her Greek heritage, and was a very good Greek dancer. Family will greet friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. Kettering. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, 3705 Far Hills Ave. Kettering 45429. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mary's name to Fairmont Presbyterian Church.
