Mary Fitzgerald

Fitzgerald, Mary T, known affectionately by family and friends as T, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 at the age of 80. She was born September 23, 1929 in Lincoln, Nebraska to the late Francis and Lucille Grace. T graduated from Washburn University and majored in Psychology and English. She was employed in the banking industry and was very active as a volunteer at St. Francis of Assisi Church. T was an avid gourmet cook and gardener and also enjoyed playing bridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted Fitzgerald; and grandson, Lawrence Martin. T is survived by her children, Janis (Gary) Martin, Sharon (John) Phelan and Tom (Mary) Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Sean, Claire, Leah and Miguel; sisters, Patricia Southall and Frances King; sisters-in-law, Jean Oberhelman and Phyllis Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given in T's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
