Michael Thomas Loges

LOGES, Michael Thomas "Mike", age 59, of Pickerington, formerly of Kettering passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was born on March 10, 1954 in Dayton to Tom and Audrey Loges. Mike graduated from Fairmont East High School in 1972 then went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Wright State University in 1977. He worked for the City of Kettering Parks and Recreation as an accountant for 25 years until his retirement in 2004. Although Mike suffered an accident when he was 17 years old that changed his life forever, he never complained or let that interfere with his love of life, outgoing spirit, or love of traveling. He visited many destinations by land and sea. Mike loved cruises to Mexico and all of the shows and excitement that Las Vegas had to offer him. He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert, in 2009. Mike is survived by his parents; siblings, Dan (Bonnie) Loges of Kettering, Mary Ann Beatty of FL, Tim (Shelly) Loges of Kettering, Mark (Sherry) Loges of Beavercreek, Becky (Brian) Kundtz of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Patty (Fred) Haring of Columbus; numerous nieces and nephews; and friend and caretaker of numerous years, Michael Reeb. The family would like to thank Michael Reeb for all the years of dedicated care he gave to Mike. Family will greet friends from 5:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 East Stroop Road, Kettering. A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Thursday, August 1, 2013 also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's name to the Ascension Conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2025 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420.
