Miriam Jane Smith Clute

CLUTE, Miriam (Mim), age 93, died at home on Sunday, December 29. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years David and their son David Jr. She is survived by daughter, Karen of Dayton; sons, Gary of Dayton and Peter (Kayleen) of Severna Park, MD; four grandsons, Scott (Andrea), Andrew (Sherri), of Columbus and Seth & Joshua of MD; four well-loved great grandchildren, Helen, Simon, Emma, sister, Helen May (Marcel) Thienpont of PA; and brother, Ralph (Gay) Smith of NY. A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 65 years, she served as an Elder, as well as President and Moderator of Presbyterian Women. She also served at the Miami Presbytery. She was a member of Church Women United and College Women's Club. An avid reader, she also enjoyed crossword puzzles. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 10 at 2:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church. In memory of Miriam, donations may be made to Memorials to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
