Oden Hartzell

age 98, of Centerville, passed away Friday, January 18, 2002, at Bethany Lutheran Village. Along with his brother- in- law, George Anagnost, Oden owned and operated Hartzell Manufacturing in Dayton until their retirement. Oden was one of the oldest members of South Park United Methodist Church. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, past Grand Tyler of the Grand Lodge of Ohio, and a past Master of George L. Marshall Lodge. Oden was also a member of Reed Commandery, Mt. Moriah Chapter, Antioch Temple Shrine, Scottish Rite, York Rite, Eastern Star, Arabic Club, Jesters, Red Cross of Constantine, High Twelve Club, Reese Council, and Dayton Amateur Radio Association. Preceded in death by his wife, Erma. Survived by sister, Orletta Hestor Anagnost; niece, Judy Gubser; nephews, David Hartzell and his wife, Nancy and Gary Hartzell and his wife, Kathy; and good friends, Ernie and Julie Guenther who would like to thank the staff at Bethany Lutheran Village for Oden's care. Friends may call at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Road, Kettering at noon Tuesday until time of George Marshall Lodge masonic service at 1:30 PM. Funeral services immediately following at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Eric McGlade officiating. Burial in David's Cemetery.
