Petronella Bishop

BISHOP, Petronella "Pat" (Kruijk), age 81, of Bellbrook, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017. Pat was born on July 5, 1935, in the Netherlands to Dirk and Geertruida (Smit) Kruijk. She retired from Elder-Beerman after 40 years of service and also worked for Ed Smith Flowers. Pat was a devoted wife, gracious mother, attentive grandmother, loving sister, and loyal friend. She will be remembered for her inner strength and beauty, witty humor, incredible stories, and her passion for knitting and gardening and love of flowers. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Otis; her parents; her brothers and sisters; Dick, Piet, Toon, Klaas, Joop, Zus, Ans, and Corri. Pat is survived by her sons, David and Ronald (Denise) Bishop; daughter, Susan (Charles) Johnson; grandchildren, Corri, Sarah, Elizabeth, and Petronella Johnson, and Madison Bishop; brother Wynand (Ank) Kruijk; and sister Dini (Karel) Van Veeren. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2-4 pm on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 Stroop Rd., Kettering. The family would like to thank Symphony at Centerville and Courtyard at the Seasons for all their care and support they gave Pat and our family.
