Ralph L. Parks

PARKS, Ralph L., age 69 of Dayton, OH passed away Thursday September 18, 2014. He was born July, 7 1945 in Springfield, OH to the late Elizabeth and Ralph Parks. He served proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant/ E7. Ralph was a lifetime member of VFW Post 657 in Riverside. He was a loving family man who devoted his life to the U.S. Marine Corps and the loved ones that surrounded him. Ralph is survived by his wife, Susan E. Parks; stepchildren; Sierra E. Levy, Tashina S. and Brad J. Sampson; grandson, Bradley C. Sampson; sister, Helena Winget of Ocala, FL; brother, Rob Parks of Yellow Springs, OH; daughter, Mary Beth Parks-Hernandez; and mother in law, Elizabeth L. Huff. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins as well as his dear friends Steve and Becky Smith of Riverside, OH. Family will greet friends on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 4:00-5:00pm with a memorial service at 5:00pm at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Burial Services will be held at Dayton National Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to give a special thanks to Crestview Manor Nursing Home and VITAS Innovative Hospice Care for their care and compassion.
