Raymond H. Brinkman

BRINKMAN, Raymond H., “Ray” age 80, of Centerville passed away Sunday, April 3, 2005 at the Franciscan at St. Leonard’s. Ray served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a 1942 graduate of Chaminade High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton. Ray retired in 1983 from civil service as a logistics engineer working for the Air Force on the F-15 and F-16 programs and retired again in 1993 from TAMSCO after 10 years of service. He was a longtime member of the Church of the Ascension and a member of the choir. Ray was also a member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his sister, Colette Kulhanek. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Naomi Brinkman (Apple); 2 daughters, Cynthia (Tim) Picciano of Dublin, OH and Barbara (Philip Preston) Taulbee of Kettering; 3 sons, Dr. James F. (Marcia) of Oceanside, CA, Steven of Centerville, and David (Debi) Brinkman of Lebanon; 12 grandchildren, Gina, Tony, Nick, Kevyn, Ryan, Kelsey, Tyler, Stephanie, Maria, Jackson, Megan and Matt; 2 brothers, Joe (Emmy) and Harold (Wanda) Brinkman; 2 sisters, Evelyn Bauman and Mary Lou (Ray) Ware and numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, April 9, 2005, 10:30 AM at Church of the Ascension. Family will receive friends Friday from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
