Rita K. Mcgowan

McGOWAN, Rita K., age 81 of Beavercreek went to her heavenly home, Saturday, July 13, 2002. She was a member of Ascension Church. Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice McGowan and their daughter, Annette McGowan. She is survived by 5 children; Maurita Ockerman of Niceville, FL, William McGowan of Whitefish, Montana, Cindy Bego of Sunnydale, CA, Laurie Minardi of Beavercreek and Suzanne Carpenter of Marietta, GA; 17 grandchildren, Janice and Dan Ockerman; Kate McGowan; Brady and Corey Henry; Erin Henry Leedy; Rebecca, Jack, Dianne, Kellyann, Joseph and Mark Minardi; Sara McGowan; and Ryan Perry; Sarah, Alexa and Nicole Carpenter. Rita will be missed by all who were touched by her adventurous nature and enthusiastic spirit. She wrote many poems and always had a poem or quote ready to recite. Rita shared her Catholic faith with all she met. Mass of Christian burial will be held, Saturday July 20 at 10:00 AM at Church of the Ascension, 2025 Woodman Drive, Kettering. Burial in Calvary cemetery. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 5-8:00 PM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering.
