Robert P. Williams

WILLIAMS, Robert P., age 84, of Beavercreek Twp., passed away Monday, November 29, 2010. Robert graduated from Berea College with a degree in Chemistry. He worked as a chemical engineer for NCR in Dayton and was responsible for several patents of printed circuit board processing technology. He was then promoted and moved to Cambridge, Ohio as the head of the printed circuit laboratory. In 1992, Robert retired from General Electric as the manager of Technical Services. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his family in CA., GA., OH., and KY. Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 53 yrs. Georgia M. (nee Walker). He is survived by son Robert (Debra) Williams of Medway, OH.; son Alan (Linda) Williams of Santa Barbara, CA.; daughter Jill (Robert) Goran of Woodstock, GA.; grandchildren Daniel (Lynn) Williams of Huber Heights, Ben (Rachel) Williams of Fairborn, Amy and Christa Williams of Medway, Alex Goran of Kennesaw GA., Lindsay, Kelsey and Claire Goran of Woodstock, GA.; three great-grandchildren; Jordan, Grace, and Camron; brothers Forrest (Carolyn) Williams of Berea, KY., and Bill (Pat) Williams of West Chester, OH; sister Margie (Walter) Kennard of Monticello, KY.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 6, 2010 at 2:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Pastors Barry Jude and Daniel Williams officiating. Visitation will take place 2 hours prior from 12:00AM-2:00PM, also at the funeral home. Graveside services will be in Northwoods Cemetery, Cambridge, OH at 1:00PM on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 with Pastor Mark Stinson, Trinity Baptist Church, officiating.
