Sally Ann Kerr

KERR, Sally Ann, age 74, of Kettering passed away Sunday, February 4, 2007 at Kettering Medical Center. Sally was a member of Oak Creek United Church of Christ and sang in the choir. Her other memberships included, the Miami Valley Quilt Guild where, as a member, she made quilts for Hospice, the Lathrem Senior Center Quilt Group, Montgomery County Genealogical Society, and the Fuller Society made up of descendants of Samuel Fuller, a Mayflower passenger. Sally loved children, hers and all others, quilting, cooking, gardening and travel. She was a Campfire Girl leader and involved in the Cub Scouts when her children were of that age. She was a foster mother for Family Services Association (from 1970-1974); mother to eleven babies, one toddler and a teenager. Sally also owned and operated a Stretch and Sew fabric store from 1978 to 1983 and retired from Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department in 1993 after 8 years as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Marion Fuller. Sally is survived by her loving husband William R. Kerr; children, Jeffrey Kerr of Kettering, Jennifer (Jerry) Morland of Troy, OH and Daniel (Sally) Kerr of Bellbrook, OH; grandchildren; Abbie Hunt of Troy, currently at Ohio University, Athens, OH, Sarah and Sydney Kerr both of Bellbrook. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. Todd Grant Yonkman officiating.
