Thomas Lawrence Wieland

WIELAND, Thomas, age 64, of Kettering, passed away suddenly, Wednesday, March 23, 2011. He graduated from Chaminade High School and went to The University of Dayton and Wright State University. He worked in engineering at Dur-Iron Co. He served 4yrs. in the US Navy on the Ticonderoga Aircraft Carrier during the Vietnam War. Tom was loved by all that knew him. He had a big heart and was there whenever anyone needed help. He loved spending time with his family, especially at celebrations and lake vacations. Tom loved animals and was always at their rescue. His hobbies were fishing, music and working on cars. He is preceded in death by his father Robert; and brother Christopher. Tom is survived by his mother Helen; sisters Cheryl and Sue; brother-in-law Joe; and nephew Joey. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 4:00-7:00PM at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28 at 10:30AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackermann Blvd., Kettering. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
