Vier K Landis

LANDIS, Vier K., age 89, of Tucson, AZ died Friday, April 2, 2005. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was a member of the American Legion Post for 59 years. Vier retired from NCR in 1983 with 46 years of service as Manager, Accounts Payable. In 2003, he received top volunteer of the year award at Vail Schools, AZ where he volunteered for the past 18 years. Preceded in death by his wife, Alice Landis in 1989 and brothers, Gail and Otis Landis. Survived by four daughters and two sons-in-law, Gwen and Bruce Caupp of Farmersville, OH; Vanessa and Joe Guison of Joplin, MO; Pamela Cupp of Ft. Meyers, FL and Gloria Landis (Don Jennings) of Fresno, CA; two granddaughters, Lesley and Brian Dunn and Laura Cupp; great grandchildren, Brooke and Jacob Simpson; two sisters, Ila Jen Minnich of Covington, OH and Zara Lou Bisson of Dayton, OH. Funeral services will be held at the Routsong Funeral Home, 6 Oakwood Ave. at Irving Ave. Friday, April 29, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Burial in Bethel Cemetery, Phillipsburg, OH. Friends may call Thursday evening from 5:00 PM-8:00PM at the funeral home. If desired, friends may make donations to the charity of their choice.
