Virginia Eleanor Waits Stevens

STEVENS, Virginia Eleanor Waits, aged 93, passed away on the bright, cool, spring morning of March 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her life-long best friend and husband of 66 years, Jack F. Stevens, with whom she shared a passion for both instrumental and vocal music. She is survived by her sister, Margaret W. Beets; her four children, Barry W. Stevens, Rebecca L. Stevens, Byron C. Stevens, and Jeffrey P. Stevens; her seven grandchildren, Zachary T. Stevens, Justine A. Atkinson, Gavin N. Stevens, Heather E. Allman, Tara L. Allman, Ian Z. Stevens, and Nathan W. Stevens; and her four great-grandchildren, Zephan J. Stevens, Ezra X. Stevens, Alena K. Atkinson, and Hayes W. Atkinson. She was much beloved by all. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Harmony Creek Church, 5280 Bigger Road, Kettering, OH 45440, where she was a devoted member of the congregation. Family will greet friends following the service. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to either Harmony Creek Church or to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420.
