age 89, of Kettering died Thursday, May 20, 2004 after a lengthy illness. He was born February 3, 1915 to Myrtle and Albert Spangenberg in Portsmouth, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a half brother. Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann; daughter, Dr. Karen K. Urbschat (Dr. Gerald E. Urbschat) of Fort Myers Beach FL. and Ludington, MI and brother, Richard of Jackson, OH. He was a member of Central Christian Church, 50 year member of Dayton Masonic Lodge #147, Dayton Valley Scottish Rite, Antioch Shrine, Kentucky Colonel’s Unit, and Dayton-Victory Chapter # 594 Order of the Eastern Star. Bill was a self taught man, and a brilliant wood worker. There was little he couldn’t do. He will certainly be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24 at 11:00 AM at the Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering with Rev. David Turner conducting the services. Internment will be in David’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-5:00 PM at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 4:30 PM. In memory of Bill, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children-Orthopedic, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
