William F. Emick

EMICK, William F., age 86, of Kettering passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2013. He was born on April 22, 1926 in Cleveland, OH to the late William and Helen (Shramek) Emick. William graduated from Maple Heights High School then went to serve our country in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for National Acme in Cleveland until his retirement in 1983 and then worked for Delco Products Inc. for the next 4 years. William was a long time member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and past member of the Optimist Club. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Angela Wood. William left behind to cherish his memory his wife of 65 years, Anne; children, Robert (Mary Ann) Emick of Michigan, Rosemary (Robert) Wood of Cleveland, Rachelle (Tom) Keyler of Indiana and Rhonda (Brian) Whiteaker of Beavercreek; grandchildren, Gretchen, Alan, Dawn, Karen, Hudson, Casey and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Sullivan, Dylan, Madeline, Vivian and Kaitlyn; and siblings, Louise Kelly, Carol Mazer, sister Barbara Emick and David Emick. A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM on April 13 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to VITAS Hospice, 3797 Summit Glen Rd., Dayton, OH 45449.
