William Howell Morris

MORRIS, William Howell, 89, of Dayton passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Oakcreek Terrace Nursing Home. William was an active member of Oak Creek United Church of Christ and the KSSC (Kettering South Senior Citizens.) He served in the United States Army as a Staff Sergeant in the Pacific during WWII. William retired as an Accountant from Chrysler after 30 years of service. William gave hundreds of volunteer hours to his local community. William was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Smith. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janice Morris; sisters, Margaret Young, Evelyn Comegys and Mary Ellen Benfield; daughter, Annette (Bruce) McCreadie; son, Thomas (Angela) Morris; granddaughters, Ashley and Lauryn McCreadie. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 11 a.m., at Oak Creek United Church of Christ with the Rev. Dr. Robert McCann and the Rev. George Hurter officiating. Burial will take place at David's Cemetery following the service. Family will receive friends from 10-11 prior to the Service.
