William Ralph Jacobs

JACOBS, William R. of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at age 79. Born in Hamilton, OH on September 5, 1930 to parents Ralph M. and Margaret E. (Sauter) Jacobs. Bill is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughter, Susan L. McHone, and his son, William T. Jacobs. A graduate of Hamilton High School, Bill attended BGSU and the University of Cincinnati, served in the USAF from 1950 - 1954, and worked in Logistics Command (mostly at WPAFB) from 1952 - 1986. He was a loving husband, father, son, avid handball player in his younger years, and a friend to many. His physical presence will be greatly missed, as his spirit and love lives on. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 7 at Routsong Funeral Home, 2100 E. Stroop Rd., Kettering, with Rev. Alan Carroll officiating. Visitation will precede the service at 11 a.m., and graveside burial will be private.
